Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to introduce the main personality theories and views on the formation of personality. To introduce the research and application areas of Personality Psychology, to inform about personality traits and to provide personality evaluation skills.
Course Content: In the Personality Theories course, Psychoanalytic theory: Sigmund Freud Self psychology: Heinz Kohut, Individual Psychology: Alfred Adler, Analytical Psychology: Carl Gustav Jung, Interpersonal Relations: Harry Stack Sullivan, Behaviorist Theory: John B.Watson, Burrhus F.Skinner, Cognitive Behavioral Theory : Aaron Beck, Albert Ellis, Psychoanalytic Social theory: Karen D. Horney, Humanistic Theory: Carl Rogers, Abraham Maslow, Trait Factor Theory: Gordon W. Allport, Existential Analytical Theory: Rollo May will be studied.
