| Course Objectives: | For Language and Speech Therapy, we aim to obtain basic knowledge in the field of Orthodontics, learn the terminology used in the field of dentistry orthodontics, what methods are used in orthodontic treatments, the place of orthodontic disorders in language and speech therapy and what problems they cause in terms of language and speech area, and those with language and speech disorders. It aims to provide information about which individuals may need orthodontic treatment. |
| Course Content: | The structure of the teeth and the characteristics of the dentition, the muscles used during chewing and speaking, orthodontic development periods in growth and development, orthodontic anomalies, appliances applied in orthodontic anomalies, the place and importance of speech-language pathologists during the orthodontic treatment of patients with cleft lip and palate. |
