Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations in business environments. It focuses on the identification, assessment, and control of workplace hazards, promoting a proactive safety culture, and ensuring compliance with national and international health and safety standards. The course equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and implement effective health and safety management systems across various industries.
Course Content: 1. Introduction to occupational health and safety (OHS)

2. Historical development and legal framework of workplace safety

3. Roles and responsibilities of employers, employees, and safety officers

4. Risk assessment and hazard identification techniques

5. Accident prevention and emergency response planning
