Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To make students understand the importance of environmental health, the environment-health relationship, to raise environmental awareness, to teach the causes, sources, importance and precautions to be taken of important environmental health problems (water-air-soil pollution-waste), to increase their professional knowledge and skills in protecting and developing environmental health.
Course Content: It includes information on the definition of environmental health, the environment-health relationship, factors affecting environmental health, air pollution, soil pollution, water pollution, waste and waste disposal, radiation, urbanization and slums, environmental health problems in our country and in the world, and organizations related to environmental health.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Understands the importance of environmental health in protecting and improving health.
2) Realizes the responsibilities of nurses in protecting environmental health
3) Understands how chemical elements that threaten environmental health can be eliminated.
4) It provides individuals with awareness of protecting the environment.
