Course Objectives: | This course aims to introduce interior architecture students to building elements and their functions, material selections, and design criteria. By understanding the technical characteristics and applications of fundamental building components, students will develop the ability to make informed decisions in the design process. |
Course Content: | The course covers an overview of building elements, construction techniques, materials used, and their impact on architectural design. Topics include foundations, wall systems, openings, door and window systems, floor structures, vertical circulation elements (stairs), and roof systems. Theoretical knowledge will be supported with practical examples and visual materials. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
