Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: It is aimed to train students as well-equipped assistant technicians to physicians through clinical internships at the Istinye University Faculty of Dentistry Application and Research Center.
Course Content: Practical training of technicians who will assist the physician during the treatment of dental diseases

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Preparing the clinic and arranging the equipment for the patient coming for the first examination
2) An overview of the treatments applied by physicians in adult and pediatric patients
3) Preparation of the working environment before treatment
4) Reinforcing the information learned about the tools and materials used during treatment
5) Reinforcing the principle of working with four hands
6) Learning how to clean up the clinic after treatment and prepare for the next patient
7) Maintenance and sterilization of hand tools used
8) Monitoring and ensuring the continuity of materials used for treatment purposes in the clinic
