Course Objectives: | The aim of the course is to provide information about the way children are perceived in Turkish society and other societies, as well as to provide basic information about family, environment, peer interaction, education and children's games that play a role in the child's cultural structure. |
Course Content: | The phenomenon of children in different cultures and in Turkey; Understanding and view of children in different societies and Turkish society; Developments in the perception of children and childhood; Children's games in different cultures; Examples of traditions and customs related to children; Child education in different cultures; Cultural characteristics in raising children. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Students gain knowledge about the way the child is perceived in the Turkish Society and other societies. 2) It offers suggestions for successful inclusion practices and problems in Turkey. 3) Interprets the relationship between mainstreaming and integration. 4) Explains integration models. 5) Explains and interprets legal regulations regarding children. 6) Students gain general information about children's games for different cultures. |
