Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Within the scope of this course, it is aimed to reinforce the theoretical knowledge of students by observing children aged 3-6 years, school age and adolescence in kindergarten, primary school, etc. institutions.
Course Content: The scope of this course is to obtain information about the developmental characteristics of children in different age groups through observation, to report the developmental characteristics of children appropriately, to be able to interpret by synthesizing theoretical and observational information.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Explains the developmental characteristics of children aged 0-18 years.
2) Compare the theoretical knowledge acquired in courses related to development with observations.
3) Select methods and techniques (e.g. use of developmental checklists) appropriate to the age, characteristics and needs of the child.
4) Record their observations appropriately.
5) Transfers the characteristics specific to developmental periods in accordance with the observation report.
