Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To give information about the concepts of poisoning and toxicology, exposure to xenobiotics, acute and chronic effects of exposure and general approach to poisonings.
Course Content: History of poison science, related definitions and toxic effects mechanisms, special toxic effects, acute and chronic poisonings, general approach to poisonings

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) He/ She explains the history of toxicology.
2) He/ She explain general concepts and classifications of toxicology.
3) he/ She explains toxic mechanisms of action and specific toxic effects (teratogenicity, mutagenicity, carcinogenicity).
4) He/ She Explains liver and possible liver toxicity.
5) He/ She defines various chemical and other xenobiotics and explains the toxic effects of these.

12) Have the discipline necessary for team work, high communication skills, technical and application knowledge.
13) It conducts a given task independently by using its basic knowledge. When it encounters an unpredictable situation, it takes responsibility and develops solutions. Collaborates with other fields related to the field.
14) As a Pharmacy Technician, it follows the instructions related to pharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, medical products, medical products and dermocosmetics.
