Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to comprehend personality disorders and their classification, which is one of the current topics of psychology, in the presence of various institutions. However, it is to be informed about the various problems that personality disorders can cause in general psychology practices.
Course Content: Personality Disorders, one of the current cells of psychology, is a group of disorders that are often neglected, understudied and stigmatized. It includes a basic understanding of personality and personality structure for those who use psychology and health services. Within the scope of these courses, information will be obtained about what Personality Disorders are according to various theories. Drawing bedroom beds will be discussed according to internationally accepted evaluation systems. Its diagnostic features will be listed, and its additional clinical features will be discussed in the light of various theories.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Identify and distinguish personality styles, traits and disorders.
2) Defines the main characteristics of personality disorders defined in DSM-5: (paranoid, schizoid, schizotypal (cluster A); antisocial, borderline, histrionic, narcissistic (cluster B); and avoidant, dependent, obsessive-compulsive (cluster C)
3) Comprehends the diagnostic criteria of personality disorders.
4) Discuss the symptoms of personality disorders with various theories
