Course Objectives: | It is aimed to introduce the different dimensions of psychological trauma to the students and to teach the possibilities of working with trauma in a clinical environment and healing in various aspects. |
Course Content: | Course Contents Course Content History of psychological trauma, its place in the literature and evaluation of its theoretical development; discussing developmental and complex trauma concepts and differences between them; It consists of dealing with various forms of trauma such as psychological effects that trauma can cause, war, torture, captivity, family/domestic violence and abuse. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Students will recognize the concept of psychological trauma 2) Recognize the historical development of the concept of psychological trauma 3) Learn the symptoms of psychological trauma 4) Learn about the effects of psychological trauma 5) Understand the dialectic of psychological trauma 6) Learn the differences between a single traumatic event and prolonged repetitive trauma 7) Recognize complex post-traumatic stress disorder 8) Will have information about the treatment of psychological trauma and the dynamics of the treatment relationship. |
