Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The course aims to initiate discussions on the historical and contemporary definitions architecture.
Course Content: Discussions within the scope of the course:
- architectural knowledge
- architecture in Turkey,
. architecture, science relations,
. architecture as a component of the social system,
-'history-theory-design-criticism'.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To be able to view architecture other than a construction practice, mainly as an intellectual and critical practice
2) To be able to view and produce architecture as an academic practice
3) To gain consciousness of the historicity of architectural knowledge and environment
