Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course for each student;
Neuromuscular diseases which are identified as hereditary and acquired diseases of peripheral neuromuscular system and located in a very wide range are the group of diseases that are causing disability in different intensities and encountered by physiotherapists in the clinic. The aim of this lesson is to comprehend systematic approach about diseases in this group leading to the progressive physical and functional disabilities and having physiotherapy strategies apart from upper motor lesions.
Course Content: Lower motor neuron diseases, clinical types, differences from upper motor neuron diseases and physiotherapy rehabilitation methods used in these diseases.

2) To learn evidence-based standard functional assessments in neuromuscular diseases.
3) To distinguish neuromuscular diseases seen in adults and children
4) To analyze physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches applied in neuromuscular diseases.
5) To plan a research about physiotherapy and rehabilitation program of neuromuscular diseases

7) Physiotherapy approaches and evidence-based applications in primary muscle diseases.

9) Physiotherapy assessments and evidences of lower motor neuron diseases types in adults and children
10) Peripheral neuropathies and their physiotherapy assessments and standards
11) Physiotherapy approaches and evidence-based practices in primary neuropathies
12) Evidence-based rehabilitation approaches in neuromuscular diseases
13) General physiotherapy evaluations in congenital muscular dystrophies and other myopathies
