Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course for each student;
To explain pain theories and multi-dimensional structure of pain, patient evaluations based on biopsychosocial approach and to teach different physiotherapy approaches to painful patients, to give information about multidispliner approaches, to explain the relationship between algology and multidimensional physiotherapy
Course Content: Physiological mechanisms of pain, the role of acute and chronic pain in different diseases, methods of pain assessment, basic information about the approaches used in coping with pain

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) At the end of the course students; 1. Explains pain theories. 2. Evaluate the patient according to the theories. 3. Explains pain-specific physiotherapy approaches according to theories. 4. Explains multidispliner approaches from pain. 5.Explains logology. 6. Lists the relationship between algebra and physiotherapy. 7. Applies the approaches learned on the painful patient.
