Course Objectives: | The aim of the course for each student; To give information about cold applications, cryokinetics, hydrotherapy and aquaterapy applications; raising awareness of the use of thermal baths, mud baths and thermotherapy; to demonstrate the effects of electrical stimulation, biofeedback and other electrotherapy modalities; The aim of the course is to develop the concepts related to the applications such as banding, bandage knee brace, orthosis and walking aids. |
Course Content: | Theoretical knowledge and application of complementary treatment approaches used in physiotherapy and rehabilitation |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) 1. Define the therapeutic modalities used in rehabilitation. 1) Understands orthopedic manual treatment and application principles 2) 2. Knows the general principles of therapeutic modalities used in musculoskeletal injuries, when and how to use them. 2) Discusses the anatomical, physiological and mechanical disorders of the joints 3) Recognize different mobilization and manipulation techniques 3) 3. Be aware of the points that should be considered during the use of therapeutic modalities and other physiotherapy applications other than exercise. 4) Evaluate the patient to decide special manipulation techniques and apply mobilization and manipulation techniques in the clinic 5) Can create a treatment protocol for many mechanical problems in the joints and soft tissues |
