Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The main objective of the course is to enable students to learn the general framework of how strategies can be developed and implemented at the business level. In this framework, it will be ensured that managers understand how they can manage the conditions of uncertainty, how they develop strategies and how they can make decisions that will shape the future.

Course Content: Strategy development and strategic planning have become mandatory studies for almost every institution to achieve medium and long-term goals. “Internal factors” within the scope of strategic management can develop under the control of institutions. However, “external factors” will be shaped under the influence of “environmental conditions” in the future.

The environmental conditions in question will naturally not be the same as the current environmental conditions. Based on this fact, institutions and states need to have information about how the future will be shaped.

Predicting the future has always been done throughout history. In recent years, these studies have been tried to be made on the basis of scientific data and methods in this regard, unlike the ones in the past. This course, by emphasizing the importance of future forecasts needed for strategic planning and decision making, includes information, analyzes and applications about the main studies and methods in the literature on this subject.
