Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to introduce students to the approaches, methods and basic concepts related to social research. When you successfully complete this course, you will first be able to do small research. You will be able to evaluate scientific texts and develop a critical perspective. Moreover, students will be able to do the following: 1. To be able to determine the research topic and problem 2. Knowing ways to access academic resources 3. Being able to design research 4. Being able to write a research proposal 5. To be able to determine the research population and sample 6. Being able to prepare and use qualitative and quantitative data tools 7. Having basic statistical knowledge to describe data 8. Being able to cite and cite sources 9. Knowing ethical issues in research 10. Being able to use qualitative and quantitative data analysis tools |
Course Content: | The course will be taught in synchronous format on the specified day and time. The interfaces of the programs, which are among the research tools, will be explained via screen sharing, and sample solutions and analyzes will be made via screen sharing. |
