Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The purpose of occupational health and safety is to protect the bodily integrity and health of employees. Regular environmental surveillance is the determination of health and safety risks in the workplace and all kinds of protective, preventive and corrective actions to be carried out against these risks. The dangers and risks in the working environment are constantly changing. It causes new near-miss events, occupational accidents and occupational diseases.
Course Content: Work Environment Surveillance, Periodic Inspections, Measurements, Risk Analysis, Emergency and Protection

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Plans the periodic maintenance, controls and measurements to be done in terms of occupational health and safety at the workplace and can control its implementation.
2) Does work in accordance with the legislation for the prevention of accidents, fires or explosions in the workplace and can follow the practices.
3) Provides the preparation of emergency plans for situations such as natural disasters, accidents, fires or explosions.
4) Provides periodic trainings and exercises.
