Course Objectives: | It is aimed to provide information about the basic components of occupational health and safety management systems and national and international standards used in occupational health and safety management. |
Course Content: | Occupational Health and Safety Management System. The standard aims to identify work-related risks such as illness, injury and accident for employees and to avoid them with the help of preventive measures. ISO 45001, which replaced BS OHSAS 18001 in 2018, the standard that defines requirements and best practices for occupational health and safety management systems for more than 20 years, is now implemented in more than 80 countries. Building on the old standard, the standard follows the high-level structure established for ISO management system standards, making it relatively easy to integrate into existing systems. Common topics include leadership, commitment, and the context of the organization. Specific requirements focus on legal and other requirements and address criteria such as safety policies, hazard assessments and risk management. |
