Course Objectives: | The main purpose of the Psychology of Abnormal Behavior course is to provide students with in-depth knowledge of understanding the psychological, biological and social roots of abnormal behavior and the diagnosis, classification and treatment of these behaviors. Within the scope of the course, while various mental disorders are examined in detail, it is also aimed to evaluate the effects of these disorders on the quality of life of individuals and their interactions with society. |
Course Content: | Content of the course; Definition and history of abnormal behavior, line between normal and abnormal behavior, classification and evaluation of psychological disorders and various psychopathologies. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To have knowledge on the definition and history of abnormal behavior. 2) Learn common classifications of mental disorders. 3) Understanding the biological, social and psychological basis of psychological disorders. 4) To be able to evaluate different psychopathologies with diagnosis and treatment methods. |
