Course Objectives: | 1. Learning the indications of removable partial dentures. 2. Learning the components of removable partial dentures. 3. Learning the biomechanics of removable partial dentures. |
Course Content: | 1. To be able to make the differential diagnosis of those patients who will be treated with removable partial prothesis. 2. Learning the names and functions of the components of removable partial dentures. 3. Learning how to plan removable partial dentures according to biomechanical considerations. 4. Learning the impression materials and methods to be used for removable partial dentures. 5. Learning how to communicate with dental laboratory and fabrication stages of removable partial prothesis in dental laboratory. 6. Learning the occlusion of removable partial dentures along with possible problems that may occur during and after delivery and their solutions. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To be able to differentiate the indications and contrindications of removable partial dentures. 2) To be able to differentiate the names and the features of the components of removable partial dentures. 3) To be able to plan in accordance with the biomechanics of a removable partial denture. 4) To be able to define the clinical and laboratory steps required to fabricate a removable partial denture. 5) To be able to define the possible problems that might be encountoured during or after delivery and their solutions. |
