Course Objectives: | It aims to provide theoretical and practical acquisitions of pre-clinical 2nd year dentistry students regarding the clinical application steps of restorative dentistry on extracted teeth and in the phantom dental laboratory. |
Course Content: | Cavity preparation and application of cavity lining materials, cements, amalgam, composite filling materials, dentin bonding systems and adhesive systems in the phantom laboratory and on extracted teeth. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Ability to use diagnosis and auxiliary diagnostic methods in restorative treatment, interpret the relationship between the patient's general health problem and the planning of dental treatments. 2) Evaluating all intraoral and radiological findings of the patient before restorative treatment 3) Gaining experience in the phantom laboratory and restorative applications on extracted teeth before moving on to clinical internships. 4) Ability to determine the necessary preparations and multidisciplinary treatment options before restorative treatment 5) Having the ability to monitor and evaluate the practice tools used in the field of dentistry, the literature containing the most up-to-date information and other resources. 6) It informs relevant people and institutions on issues related to the field of dentistry, listens to their thoughts, wishes and expectations, and conveys its own thoughts and solution suggestions to problems to experts and non-experts by supporting them with quantitative and qualitative data. |
