Course Objectives: | To be able to discuss the public health approach, fields of study, and public health perspectives on health problems. |

1) Discusses the basic concepts of public health and defines the concept of health. 2) Explain the basic philosophy and principles of the branch of public health. 3) Defines the concepts of epidemiology and demography. 4) Defines the concept of a priority/important health problem for the community and lists the elements to be considered when providing community-based health care. 5) Tells programs for improving nutritional status. |
