Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course for each student;
It is aimed that students will be able to empathize with the patient and to develop the knowledge and skills to guide the patient in adapting to the environment and social environment.
Course Content: Defining the concepts in the field of psychosocial rehabilitation, the psychological process experienced by the patient during the rehabilitation process, the restoration of roles in social life, adaptation to the environment and social life, the role of physiotherapy and rehabilitation in psychosocial rehabilitation

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Understands the concepts of psychosocial rehabilitation.
2) Psychosocial process and adaptation stages after the accident, stress and posttraumatic stress disorder, learning problems after traumatic injuries.
3) To be able to recognize psychosocial rehabilitation problems in geriatric patients in progressive chronic diseases in neurological diseases, problems causing self-esteem in children.

Program Outcomes
1) Physiotherapy defines the basic medical sciences concepts and principles related to physiotherapy and rehabilitation evaluation processes, basic elements and methodological application principles. 1 2 2
2) He/She lists clinical evaluation tools and methods by analyzing the collected information about evaluation in physiotherapy according to reasoning and problem solving processes. 3 3 3
3) Explain the indications, contraindications, side effects and intervention strategies of the physiotherapy approaches and the mechanisms used to cope with functional disability and possible intervention methods. Sorts the near and far term targets according to functional levels. 2 2 2
4) It is based on the physiotherapy information related to the general health of the service area. It defines the health and lifestyle profile, deficiencies, body structure and function, activity-participation level of the person and determines the evaluation and treatment priorities in this direction. 3 3 2
5) With the data obtained from physiotherapy assessments, it creates and implements an individual-oriented physiotherapy intervention plan in accordance with the diagnosis of physiotherapy by using information literacy, evidence-based clinical decision-making processes. 3 2 3
6) It applies to the service area the exercise program planned as well as consultancy in the protection and development of health outside the disease states. 2 2 3
