| Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to teach epidemiology, risk factors, screening methods, diagnostic processes, treatment approaches, and evidence-based nursing care for gynecologic cancers, and to develop students’ ability to plan holistic nursing care for patients with gynecologic malignancies. |
| Course Content: | This course introduces the basic concepts of gynecologic oncology, including risk factors, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of major gynecologic cancers such as cervical, endometrial, ovarian, vulvar, and vaginal cancers. It emphasizes evidence-based nursing care, management of treatment-related complications, patient education, psychosocial support, and palliative care principles. |

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Explain the epidemiology, risk factors, screening, and diagnosis of major gynecologic cancers. 2) Perform holistic nursing assessments and identify nursing diagnoses for patients with gynecologic cancers 3) Develop evidence-based nursing care plans for patients receiving surgery, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy. 4) Educate patients and families, and provide person-centered palliative and psychosocial care throughout the disease process. |
