Course Objectives: | It is expected that the student will be able to systematically collect data on the patient's/individual's health status by using the Functional Health Patterns model, to identify problems by analyzing the data, to make correct nursing diagnoses, to plan and implement nursing interventions related to diagnoses, and to evaluate care outcomes. |
Course Content: | Critical thinking, concept of care, models of nursing care, systematic approach and importance in nursing care, nursing classification systems, nursing diagnoses. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To be able to comprehend the importance of systematic approach in nursing care, 2) Ability to collect systematic data for nursing care, 3) To be able to classify the data collected for nursing care, 4) To be able to determine the care needs of the individual, 5) To be able to identify appropriate nursing diagnoses, 6) Be able to plan appropriate nursing interventions for problems 7) To be able to implement the initiatives determined, 8) To be able to evaluate the results of the care given. |
