Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: In this course, it is aimed for the student to learn the basic principles of radiology and radiological anatomy, to know the intraoral and extraoral radiographic methods, advanced imaging methods and the application areas of these methods in dentistry, and to learn advanced imaging techniques such as CT, MRI, USG.
Course Content: Teaching imaging methods and basic radiology principles used in dentistry

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Gain knowledge of radiation, electromagnetic radiation, radioactivity, ionization and radiological terminology.
2) Have basic knowledge of radiation physics, radiobiology, radiation protection and diagnostic radiology.
3) Knows the principles and techniques of intraoral dental radiography.
4) Knows intraoral radiographic anatomy, interprets intraoral radiographs.
5) Knows the importance of taking anamnesis, takes systemic and dental anamnesis.
6) Knows extraoral and intraoral radiography methods
